DEPOK – A student of Undergraduate Program of Department of Communication Sciences in FISIP UI, Allysa Natalie Hartono came out as the second winner in the Outstanding Student (mapres) event at the University of Indonesia level. Allysa also became the best finalist in the social humanities at the peak of award ceremony on Monday (10/4/2023).
This student specializing in advertising, class of 2020, advanced to the competition at university level after winning the presidential map election. In the annual competition, Allysa submitted a creative idea program proposal about renting premium batik clothes from craftsmen under the auspices of the Regional National Craft Council.
“This rental is website-based, for development and empowerment, especially batik clothes produced by female craftsmen,” said Allyssa, Thursday (13/4/2023). She continued, the pilot project is planned in the Marunda Flat. Based on Allyssa’s initial research, a Marunda batik brand is already in the flat.
In addition to creative idea proposal, all mapres finalists from all UI faculties compete through superior achievement, organizational experience, English language skills, and psychological tests. Allysa admitted that this competition was quite challenging regarding the time frame provided. “The biggest challenge is short processing time,” she said. However, she admitted that the study program, department, and faculty support helped her.
