Mission

  • Through research-based learning, to create graduates with superior academic skills, possessing professionalism and morality, in order to be able to compete in the national and international levels.
  • To push for the improvement of the performance of academic staff who are active, creative, and professional for the achievement and maintenance of superior quality in learning, research and community service.
  • To create superior work of research results in communication science and practice, in order to be a leading reference and to benefit the interests of developing science and human life.
  • To provide service to the society through contributions in thought, knowledge, and work of high quality, which will create surplus value for the benefit and well-being of humanity in the national and international levels.

Vision

To become a research-based undergraduate learning institution that is superior in communication science and contributing to the development of the nation and state.

Mission

  • To conduct a learning program of Communication for the Undergraduate degree with superior academic skills, possessing professionalism and morality, in order to be able to compete in the national and international levels.
  • To conduct research activities in Communication, both academic/pure and applied/practical to develop the state of Communication knowledge and for problem solving of social issues.
  • To provide service to the society through contributions in thought, knowledge, and applied skills services as forms of social responsibility.

Objectives

The Undergraduate Program in Communication has the objectives of producing graduates with adequate theoretical and methodological communication knowledge that are more comprehensive, and technical as well as practical skills based on professional ethics.

The objectives of each specific subject groupings are:

  • Media Studies Subject Grouping
    Produce graduates in the specific subject of media communication: academics, researchers and media analysts in the area of communication and media.
  • Journalism Subject Grouping
    Produce graduates in the specific subject of journalism: reporters for print media, radio, television, online media; editors, article writers and photojournalists.
  • Public Relations Subject Grouping
    Produce graduates in the specific subject of public relations: public relations staff in consultant offices, government agencies, civil society organizations or private corporations.
  • Advertising Subject Grouping
    Produce graduates in the specific subject of advertising: practitioners, creative and planning of advertising media.
