Dra. Rosy Tri Pagiwati, M.A.

Biography

Rosy has worked as a lecturer at the UI Department of Communication Sciences since 2005. She studied at the same institution and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in 1995. Rosy worked as a news presenter at TVRI Surabaya (1997-2001), then continued her education in Television Journalism and earned an M.A. (Master of Arts) in 2002 from Nottingham Trent University (England). Has an interest in micro issues in the field of Communication (Intrapersonal and Interpersonal) and has studied Transcendental Communication with a focus on the study of Human and God Communication, but is also involved in research on audience perception and Public Communication. Among the research topics that have been conducted: Government Public Communication during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Indonesian Press Freedom Survey, Audience Perceptions of Television Entertainment Shows, Transcendental Communication Practices in Islamic Journalism, Views of British Muslim Audiences on the War Against Afghanistan After the 11 Tragedy September 2001, Understanding the Meaning of Terrorist ‘Jihad’, Understanding the Communication Process of Humans and God, Self-Disclosure in Student Interpersonal Communication.
